Am Wochenende hatten neue Aufrufe von KI-Tech-Bossen in den USA, die Entwicklung von künstlicher Intelligenz zu bremsen, für Aufregung gesorgt. Den Anfang machte Dario Amodei, Chef des KI-Unternehmens Anthropic. Er erhielt Zuspruch von Rivalen wie dem Chef des ChatGPT-Entwicklers OpenAI, Sam Altman, sowie Tech-Milliardär Elon Musk.

Er warnte außerdem vor einer Gefahr für die nationale Sicherheit, sollten Projekte mit Verbindungen zur Kommunistischen Partei Chinas die Oberhand gewinnen. Unter anderem rief Amodei in seinem Posting dazu auf, China keine KI-Chips zu verkaufen.

Homes are using more electricity for heating and cooling. Factories need more electricity to shift away from fossil fuels.
